Playday is the annual celebration of children’s
right to play.
Playday is a national campaign where thousands of children
and young people get out and play at locally organised events.
The theme for Playday 2008, held on
Wednesday 6 August, was Give us a go!
A huge network of people are involved in Playday –
people who are passionate about promoting children’s play.
Playday is coordinated by Play England, working in partnership
with Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.
Playday 2008 was supported by Persil.
Persil is committed to championing the benefits of a more free
childhood through the launch of their new campaign 'Every
child has the right'.
