Who we are

A huge network of people are involved in Playday.

Two Playday boys

Playday is coordinated by Play England, working in partnership with Play Wales, Play Scotland, PlayBoard Northern Ireland and a national steering group.

Playday wouldn’t be the fantastic campaign it is without the hundreds of Playday organisers from across the UK, and our Playday campaign supporters.

Play England logoPlay England, part of the children's charity NCB, campaigns for all children to have the freedom and space to play throughout childhood. As the national organisation for children’s play, Play England works with all those who have an impact on children's lives to support and champion play as an essential part of childhood.

Playday organisers help make Playday the biggest celebration of children's right to play in the UK.

Playday events are often organised by play associations, holiday play schemes, extended schools, playgroups, residents’ associations, local authorities, community groups, or simply someone who wants to give children and young people the opportunity to play locally for the day.
