2010 drawing consultation terms and conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully as they govern entry to the Playday 2010 drawing consultation:

NCB - means National Children’s Bureau.

Respondents - means a respondent to the Playday 2010 drawing consultation.

Winner - means the person to whom NCB awards the digital camera.

 

Playday 2010 drawing consultation

  1. By submitting an image, respondents agree that their image may be used unrestricted in Playday publicity in printed, online and other formats.
  2. The closing date for submitting images is Friday 8 October 2010. Images must be received by 23:59:59 on Friday 8 October 2010 (UK time).
  3. The Playday 2010 drawing consultation is open to those aged 18 and under.

     

  4. Images should represent what it's like to play where you live.
  5. Respondents to the Playday 2010 drawing consultation will be entered into a free prize draw to win a Sony Cybershot DSC-S930 digital camera, case and memory stick 

     

  6. Each respondent to the Playday 2010 drawing consultation will receive one entry to the draw.

     

  7. More than one image may be submitted per respondent but entry to the draw is limited to one entry per person.

  8. The Winner will be drawn at random by NCB staff shortly after the closing date and will be contacted on Friday 15 October 2010 via the contact details given on their submission.

     

  9. The Winner will be required to notify NCB of their acceptance of the prize immediately. In the event of non-acceptance, or if the person is not contactable by phone by noon on 22 October 2010 , NCB reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to the next randomly drawn valid entry.

     

  10. The Winner waives irrevocably all rights arising in and over any prize not accepted under clause 9.

     

  11. The prize will be posted out recorded delivery to the postal address given by the Winner by telephone when they accept the prize. NCB accepts no responsibility for the loss or delay of prize being sent out.

     

  12. Only the Winner will be contacted personally.
  13. The draw is open to all children and young people aged 18 and under who are residents of the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands, excluding employees of NCB or other people involved in the organisation or running of the draw, or their immediate families.

     

  14. The prize consists of one Sony Cybershot DSC-S930 digital camera, case and memory stick.

     

  15. There is no cash alternative.

     

  16. No purchase is necessary.

     

  17. By entering the draw, the Winner agrees to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this draw, and for his or her name to be used for publicity purposes by NCB.

     

  18. It is a condition of entry that these terms and conditions are accepted as final and that entrants agree to abide by the rules. No correspondence will be entered in to.

     

  19. NCB accepts no responsibility for loss of entries though technical fault, postal/transmission delays or incomplete or illegible entries. Proof of electronic submission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the owner of the email address given.

     

  20. NCB reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the prize draw (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a prize draw is not capable of being conducted as specified.

     

  21. Playday 2010 drawing consultation entries may be rejected in the sole discretion of NCB, including for reasons of obscenity, defamation or invasion of privacy.

 

Playday is coordinated by Play England, working in partnership with Play Wales, Play Scotland and Playboard Northern Ireland. Play England is part of the NCB, and is supported by the Big Lottery Fund. NCB is a registered charity, no. 258825.
