PLAYTODAY
To help celebrate this year's Playday,
PlayToday recruited a team of junior reporters to
cover events for a special issue of PlayToday magazine
that will feature news from across the four nations.
This special edition has been designed and edited by children
and young people from Headliners: a UK-wide news agency
that produces news and features by children and young people for
everybody.
What it involved
A team of junior reporters helped us build a picture of what
happened on Playday 2008.
Individuals, or a small team, reported on Playday events by:
- writing a review of a Playday event
- taking photos
- interviewing other children and young people about their
Playday experiences; and finding out what they thought about this
year's theme Give us a go!
- interviewing adults or local decision-makers about Playday and
what they thought about this year’s theme.

Last year's Playday special
Last year children and young people reported on Playday events
from across the UK. Guest editors Adam Bhula (10) and Kamil Boriel
(12) from Headliners, spent a day working with PlayToday editor,
Ken Ryan, and Playday campaigns officer, Amy Little.
