NHS Playday celebrations
This year all children could be part of
Playday, including those who are sick and find themselves
using NHS services.
2008 marks the 60th anniversary of the National
Health Service and events are taking place up and down the country
to celebrate this important occasion.
Playday took place on 6 August 2008 and
offered a perfect opportunity to encourage children’s play and
offered NHS organisations another way to celebrate NHS 60.
Play England, in partnership with the NHS,
developed some handy hints and tips for NHS organisations
who wanted to join in the fun.
Play England were on hand to provide support and guidance
on planning Playday events for those wanting to get involved.
