Families and young visitors to the city centre can celebrate National Playday by taking part in a day of free and fun activities.

Activities will include traditional games such as skipping, hula hooping and hook-a-duck, as well as creative play, den building and zumba classes.

There will be storytelling sessions and a stay-and-play area for parents and babies, and the Bookbus will pop by too.

Neighbourhood charity b-inspired will support the city council-run event.

Try your hand at Sports Day Style Races and other sports.

Extreme Wheels will be providing free taster BMX sessions in the ball court car park.
