National Play Day Dundee

National Play Day is a celebration of play that happens on the first Wednesday of August every year. Dundee is joining in with the celebrations by running an afternoon of play activities at Baxter Park. A number of organisations will be coming together to do various activities, including loose parts play, messy play, treasure hunts, sports, face painting, and more. This is a family event, with most activities aimed at children under the age of 12, and is free for all to attend.

Playday Clay

Celebrate National Playday in Aberdeenshire with a messy adventure full of sand and clay! We will explore around the sand dunes near to the Sand Bothy, collect natural treasure then back at the Sand Bothy use these to decorate a piece of clay you have formed into your first initial! We will also make time to explore the huge sand dunes a 10 minute walk from the bothy.

East Ayrshire Playday

Playday 2018 in East Ayrshire will once again take place at the Kay Park, Kilmarnock; our QE11 Fields in Trust protected site. East Ayrshire’s Playday is split into a range of activity zones including; Messy Zone, Free Play Zone, Creative Zone, Adventure Zone, Fun Zone, Early Years Zone, Physical Zone and Health Zone.

Last year saw approximately 12,000 children, families and groups in attendance throughout the day taking part in numerous activities such as canoeing, mud slides, gunge pools, crate climbing, face painting, bouncy castles, climbing wall, den building, hay bales, quad bikes, laser quest, arts & crafts, as well as a plethora of sports activities that are all absolutely FREE.
