In Chadderson Park in Derby the Cook,.Eat and Play team will be inviting the local people in a celebration of fun and food. The day will consisting of young people participating in designing their own fruit pizzas, sharing this with their family and friends and then participation in a fun packed afternoon of ‘traditional non equipment based activities! This is part of a full six week holiday packed free fun in the park activities.

Join us for Sandwell’s first Play Week!!

Five days packed with fun, free activities for children to celebrate National Play Day (7th August). Events are happening in a different Sandwell park each day.

This year’s theme is ‘Play Builds Children’ and we’re hosting a big ‘build-a-thon’ with den building, giant cardboard creations and Lego masters, along with sports, games, craft activities and performance art including a street theatre, dance and a community choir.

All activities are free of charge.

Play Week is organised by Sandwell Council’s play service, Go Play Sandwell, and partner organisations: Creative Academies, Groundwork West Midlands, Murray Hall Community Trust and The Albion Foundation. It is supported by Black Country Touring.
