This year’s theme is play for all. ‘All to play for – building play opportunities for all children’ and presents an opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of play in a child’s development also Article 31 UN Convention on the rights of the child (leisure, play and culture). Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities as we work towards becoming a UNICEF Child Friendly City.
To celebrating National Playday, Manchester City Council in partnership with Manchester Play Network have organised a Playday event which is open to all abilities and is free of charge, face painting, arts & craft, play games, climbing wall, balloon modelling, junk modelling, sensory toys games rock painting, den building, mobile making, magical hideaways, fun games, environmental workshops, play dough, DJ & entertainer, jungle gym, sensory musical bottles, bug hunts, story telling, Pip and Posy character plus free food! and more.
